Check how to obtain the card to access the healthcare services while staying in Italy.

The Healthcare Card (“Tesserino Sanitario”) is the document enabling extra EU citizen to access the Italian healthcare services for stays longer than 3 months.

The Card is necessary to access services like medical visits, hospital treatments, medications purchase.

The citizen can obtain the Healthcare Card only once the Permit of Stay has been granted and is valid for the whole duration of the Permit.
